Scouts will get an introduction to the world of robotics. They will plan, design, program and build a robot. We use LEGO® Mindstorm robots that are also used in robotic competitions around the world.
Scouts will be guided through the requirements to earn the robotics merit badge by merit badge counselor, Frank Tappen.
Laptops, software and LEGO® kits will be provided for use during the class. They do not come home with the Scouts.
Requirements:
Pre-registration is required.
Boy Scouts must secure a blue card approved from their Scoutmaster prior to attending class.
Scouts need to review the BSA's Merit Badge "Robotics" book prior to attending class.
Merit Badge class is 3 hours long with a max of 10 scouts per session.
Cost: $15.00 per Scout OR $18.00 per Scout to have pizza and lemonade
